Here we are again this year! I've been thinking of this 6th year of riding with Brianne in FARA's RA NorCal since Februaray, and every couple of weeks since then mentally saying "OK, git-er-done Konanz!". Obviously I don't talk to myself very effectively. lol

So how is this year different from these previous five years?? And why might you be even more motivated to support and elevate further the research momentum that is driving Brianne closer to having the treatments she needs? Mmm

- The 9 in-process clinical trials?    http://www.curefa.org/pipeline.html (Last year there were 8)
- The several new drug companies that are each pursuing FA gene therapy? Nothing like a little competition to make things move forward!
- For the 1st year Brianne is way ahead on her fundraising than me! And of course good for her, but, now it's the old man's turn! Heh-heh-heh
- In the last 2 years the RA planning committee has lengthened "my" route from 15 miles to 19 miles, a 27% increase??! AND the route is changed also putting us into that Davis headwind for 3 miles instead of the approximately 1 mile before. If we have that 22mph wind from a few years ago I'm toast! (Whine-whine-whine) Take a look http://ridewithgps.com/routes/6512786 (the old route went straight West and then up).
- Saving the best in-the-moment for last this year RA NorCal will not only be held on the REAL Memorial's Day (May 30) it will also be held on my 70th birthday! WhooHoo!

So here we are a month and 3 days from The Day and I would enjoy so much once again for any or all the reasons above for you to support Team Blue Skies in this 2015 Ride Ataxia NorCal fundraising ride for Friedreich's Ataxia! Here is the team website; just click on one of us for your support.  http://rideataxia.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=1130902&lis=1&kntae1130902=DE8C40D6E237401BB08B49EE1161E829&team=6265723 Our goal this year is $5,000, very doable with our actual total last year at $4,700.

I'd better step up my game between now and May 30th! lol

Best Regards, and prayers for your families,

Paul
